Sue Laue is a communications professional specializing in strategic planning, marketing, media and public relations and stakeholder involvement. Her work focuses on assisting nonprofit, government and corporate clients to create a vision and meet goals that increase productivity and services.

Sue is proficient at analyzing education, health, transportation, environmental, community development, violence prevention, and endangered species protection policy and programs for organizational change, project implementation, stakeholder understanding and buy-in. As President/Executive Director of several nonprofit organizations, she has facilitated organizational development and strategic planning for boards of directors and staff, raised revenues, developed annual budgets and overseen spending and hiring. Sue completes projects at or under budget, and her skills are transferable to any industry.

Formerly, as CEO of Media Masters Inc., Sue worked with Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS), METRA and the Illinois Department of Transportation to assess environmental and socio-economic impacts of new transportation corridors. She engaged residents and stakeholders through outreach strategies to assess and minimize impacts and facilitated focus groups and large public meetings to inform stakeholders and gather input, building consensus among divergent interest groups. She guided the media through public involvement strategies, garnering positive editorials and numerous news and feature article impressions. Sue also worked on natural resource preservation projects, raised $3 million for the Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund on the state income tax form, and developed good-neighbor environmental relations plans for industrial clients.

One of Sue's most recent projects was training and coaching staff and teachers at 20 Chicago Public Schools (K-12) in Hispanic and African-American neighborhoods to implement a new social and emotional learning and violence prevention curriculum.

Sue was also a columnist for the Chicago Tribune's North Shore Watch column on education and public affairs community issues. Sue holds Master of Science in Journalism and Media Management from Northwestern University, an M.S. in Natural Resources/Community Planning from the University of Kentucky, and a B.S. in Sociology and Journalism from Illinois State University. Sue also designs and writes brochures, newsletters, press releases, media kits, videos, speeches, website content, and facilitates editorial board meetings.

In her words, "I am passionate about my work with nonprofit organizations, and identify strongly with the mission of my clients. I work closely with them to broaden their audience reach, and to access a wider range of resources to provide a growing array of services. I believe that by listening closely to the needs of a target market, and tailoring goals and outreach strategies to those needs, that clients can be assured of providing the most timely and strategic service to others."
